Barnes & Noble – shop books, games, collectibles App Reviews

I just became a member of Barnes & Noble & paid the $25 fee, so when I downloaded the Barnes & Noble app, I expected to be able to use it. Nope, when I try to sign it, the app crashes. Whats going on with B&N? The Nook app is terrible now & this app too? Sheesh, terrible.

The app wont let me sign into my account. When I enter my password, it keeps saying "only letters, numbers or numeric symbols allowed". Ok....Im signing in fine on my desktop PC (same username & password) but the app is giving me a problem? (And yes, I made sure I typed everything accurately regarding my username & password.) This is my first experience with the app & and so far no good.

The latest version crashes when you attempt to: a) search; b) select an item; c) add an item to your cart; d) edit your cart; & e) purchase items in your cart. Other than that its flawless.

Slow as molasses. Deleted after first use. Took about 20 seconds to start and I though something was wrong, almost closed it then it opened finally. Bad app.

This app is horrible, slow, crashes every few minutes! Cant even log in in time to change your information under manage accounts. Try changing your info and crashes every time. With all the money this company has Barnes and Nobles needs to fire all their tech service people and invest in better tech company to get this app up and running! Its an injustice to book readers everywhere! Come on and get it together! And when you take this to heart, then you can send me some gift cards for helping you get a jump start! Not a good thanks Barnes and Nobles!

This app is exactly what the mobile website looks like. If Im downloading an app, its to avoid the website not get the exact same thing except possibly slower. You can definitely look up books on the app. Thats not a problem. Youll just have to wait for the app to load. The layout seems ok. I just wish it was an actual functioning app and not just a copy of the mobile version of the site. Even if you push "remember me" this app will not remember you. You have to log in every single time.

Right now, the only other app on my phone I hate more than this one is Facebook. This app is ridiculously slow and cumbersome. Its unresponsive to the point that you end up somewhere completely unexpected when it finally catches up to your taps. I dont even know about any particular features... I just wanted to do some pre-shopping research for books that Id hoped would be on the shelf at the store. At this point, Im writing this review, deleting the app and winging it; preschooler and toddle in tow to boot! B&N, you need to find someone that can make this app actually work. Not only does Amazons app kick the socks off of yours, they have cheaper prices (plus free shipping) on everything I looked at.

Ive had to uninstall and reinstall it multiple times Ive also had to then login and I was unsuccessful at that multiple times as well. After when I tried to purchase one item they gave me multiple of that one item when I only wanted one, I would recommend to everyone who tries to use the app not to and to just buy online instead or go to the store directly. I hope that eventually The app is repaired and works properly so that customers can properly order or browse The different categories to choose from

I have major problems with having my cart show that I am getting free shipping with my membership. I usually end up purchasing the items online instead of through the app ... Very frustrating!

What is the point of a barcode scanner if the store will not match online price.

I cant even purchase books anymore. Attempting to log in with any iOS device is totally impossible. Another case of upgrades totally destroying any working device. At this rate theyll have to invent paper and figure out how to print on it.

This app constantly crashes and has screwed up at least two of my orders. It seriously needs an update. Do not order anything through the app!!

Seriously. I should not have to give you my cc info to use my gift card balance. The only way I can download a book is from my desktop which is highly inconvenient. I downloaded the app hoping it would be better than the mobile site but its identical. Why are you making this so hard B&N? Just an option on either to view the full site rather than the mobile site would be much appreciated.

I can order my books faster from Amazon then it takes me to search using this application. I try to use the app to see if a title I want is in the store so that I can pick up sooner than the US mail can deliver. But this application is not as fast as the US mail. Barnes and Noble should truly be ashamed.

Basically the new update of the app is exactly what youd expect the Barnes and Noble website to work like on a 20 year old browser. Like Netscape Navigator, only there is no option to go back short of completely restarting the app. I was just trying to search for something, but Id hate to imagine trying to actually purchase something from the app without a way to undo a mistake. Terrible update.

Always crashing! Always freezing! Come on Barnes and Noble, we need you!

Downloaded app and it fails to recognize that its connected to the Internet and says to verify wifi and your network connection. REALLY!!

You missed the awesome chance to call this app Barnes & Mobile
