This app is basically the web/mobile version of the site, only SLOWER! So dont waste your time downloading this app and just stick to your web browser.
Been using for years suddenly wont open states error failed to download updates keeps saying retry but wont open. Deleted and redownloaded it and still does the same thing. Should be off the app store if not working.
The app seems to not realize that an iPhone 4s has a smaller screen than the newer phones. Cant navigate some screens because of this. Useless.
Since when does the app not support digital purchases??? Agree that this app is slow and cumbersome, but I could at least purchase Nookbooks at my fingertips. Today this is no longer possible--very frustrating! Please fix.
9/10/16 Edit- I finally just deleted the app... May as well go directly to the website. Its too bad; I used to buy tons of books thru their app. Appreciate the update, but I agree- its just a facsimile of the website. Very choppy user experience. I like the older version more. Needs serious work.
I have had Nooks since day one. I sometimes have times where I need to read on my iPhone or iPad. On these apps, I can read but cant purchase items. So isnt the B&N app supposed to fill the gap? If it was supposed to make us more loyal to our Nook devices, it doesnt, it is just giving us negative feelings toward the branding. I havent been this frustrated since the Free Friday selection no longer popped up on my Nook device every Friday. Those were the days! Lol
I mean I dont know how the app was before but I just downloaded it and its not bad, I like it and it does its job good. I just wish the app would run a lot more smoother
The store locator does not work at all, please fix it!!!
Wont even open so whats the point. I cant understand why these big companies cant develop a good working app.
I used to use this app and it worked well, but now it just locks up whenever it goes to the account screen (such as when I want to download a newly purchased book). I will update this review when the app gets updated to work again.
This app really needs to be updated. It locks up, signs you out by itself, refuses to load, etc. The app is very disappointing as it is now.

I use the app the most for purchasing Nook books. Now all of a sudden you wont let me? Whats the deal??
A really bad app. You finally get it loaded and start searching and then it falls out. Three times this happened. What a waste of time. Will go back to Amazon. A year later still bad. Cant save anything to my wishlist. Wont let you sign in.
This is a very poorly designed app. Cant manage account very well, no way to add member card to wallet on iPhone. Disappointed all around.
Cant even sign-in to the app.
Using this app reminds me of going back to dial up internet. Crashes, locks up and frustrates. Stay away!
Just signed up for an annual membership after a few years away. Thought I should get the app. Pretty easy to use, but I would appreciate either auto-sign-in or Touch ID for signing-in. I have not experienced the crashes or slowness others have reported.
Now I hate it. I cant sign in to my account, it freezes up whenever I try, I can barely get the app to load anything at all... Its just awful. Update your app, guys. Get it to work again, then maybe Ill be back.
